Prioritizing transparency in your healthcare journey, Inner Solace Counseling provides good faith estimates before you schedule an appointment. This estimate outlines the anticipated costs of your therapy session, including our standard fee and any potential out-of-pocket expenses based on your insurance coverage. Having this information upfront empowers you to make informed decisions about your mental health care and ensures there are no surprise bills. If you have any questions regarding the good faith estimate or your insurance coverage, please don't hesitate to ask our friendly staff. We're here to help!

Understanding Your Coverage

Knowing your insurance coverage for mental health services is important. We recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to verify your in-network benefits and inquire about coverage details. Here are some helpful questions to ask:

  • Is Inner Solace Counseling an in-network provider for my plan?

  • What is my coverage for outpatient mental health services?

  • Do I have a deductible or co-pay for therapy sessions?

  • Are there any limitations on the number of sessions covered per year?

Our administrative staff can also assist you with verifying your insurance information and answer any questions you may have about our billing process. We believe in transparency and want to ensure a smooth experience for you.

Understanding Your Rights: The No Surprises Act and Inner Solace Counseling

At Inner Solace Counseling, we are committed to providing quality mental health care with transparency and fairness. The No Surprises Act, a federal law implemented in 2022, protects patients from unexpected medical bills, including those related to out-of-network mental health services.

What is the No Surprises Act?

The No Surprises Act protects you from:

  • Balance Billing: This occurs when you receive an out-of-network bill for a service you believed was in-network, leaving you responsible for the difference between the provider's charge and your insurance company's allowed amount.

  • Air Ambulance Surprise Bills: This applies to unexpected out-of-network air ambulance services.

  •

What Does This Mean for You at Inner Solace Counseling?

  • Transparency in Billing: We will provide you with a good faith estimate of your expected charges for services before you schedule an appointment. This estimate will include the anticipated cost of your therapy session and any potential out-of-pocket expenses.

  • Understanding Your Network: We encourage you to familiarize yourself with your insurance plan's in-network providers. Our administrative staff can also assist you with verifying your coverage.

  • Open Communication: If you have any questions about billing or your insurance coverage, please don't hesitate to ask. We are here to help you navigate the process.

What the No Surprises Act Doesn't Cover:

  • It does not apply to services you choose to receive from an out-of-network provider knowingly and agree to pay the full charges.

  • It does not eliminate your deductible or co-pay obligations under your insurance plan.
